Solid Waste & Recycling office is moving

The Cedar Rapids Solid Waste & Recycling Division Office will be moving into the offices across from the City Assessor's Office at 1211 6th Street SW on June 11. The Solid Waste & Recycling Division has been operating out of a triple wide trailer parked in front of the Public Works Building on Sixth Street since the 2008 flood. The new office provides handicapped accessibility to customers dropping off needles and syringes in the appropriate sharps containers.
There will be no interruption in garbage, recycling or yard waste collection services due to this move. The mailing address for the Cedar Rapids Solid Waste & Recycling Division will remain 940 4th St. SW. The phone number will remain (319)286-5897.
