A Des Moines Register poll indicates that three well-known Republicans score well with GOP voters in Iowa.
The poll published in a copyright story in Friday's newspaper found that of Republicans who said they would likely vote in Tuesday's primary election, 62 percent had a very or mostly favorable view of former presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
The poll shows 58 percent had a favorable view of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, and 56 percent felt that way about former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
The telephone poll was conducted June 1-3 by Selzer & Co. Inc. of Des Moines of 501 Republican likely voters. It has a margin of sampling error of 4.4 percentage points.
