Sandersfeld, Anita M.
Anita M. Sandersfeld, 84, passed away Oct. 29, 2012, in Iowa City.
Anita was born Dec. 22, 1927, in Keystone, Iowa, to Fredrick and Alma (Wenthe) Helberg. Anita was the oldest daughter of four sisters, Alice, Audrey, Lois and Gracie, with an older brother, Walter, and youngest brother, Kenneth. She spoke of them fondly. After high school Anita went to college and received her teaching certificate.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, with visitation to be held Friday, Nov. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Anita came to meet the love of her life, Gilbert Sandersfeld, and they were united in marriage on June 1, 1952. Anita's favorite passion was reading books which she shared with her daughter, Patricia. After a hard day's work of taking care of their home Anita and Gilbert really enjoyed spending time with their friends, the Baack and Trimpe families. In her later years she found a great friendship with the dog Clohe.
Anita's faith was very important to her.
Anita is survived by her forever loving husband, Gilbert; children, Patricia Wagner and Pamela Stumpff; and grandchildren, Darrick Wagner, Christopher Wagner and Kali Stumpff.
Please leave a message or tribute to the family on the Web page, under Obituaries.
