Vernon has qualities needed in Congress

Responsive. Inclusive. Honest. Dedicated. Experienced. Problem-solver. These are the qualities we need in those representing Iowa.

Who was the first City Council representative to respond and rush help to our neighborhood when it was flooded? Monica Vernon. (She was not even our district representative.) Who fought tirelessly in Washington, D.C., on our behalf to bring much-needed dollars to restore our flood-ravaged neighborhoods and downtown? Vernon. Who sees a need, seeks out the appropriate partners, mobilizes forces and gets the job done? Vernon.

Fiscally responsible and socially progressive. That's why I heartily endorse Vernon for Congress.
