No delay in Cedar Rapids garbage collection for the holidays

There will be no delay in the collection of garbage, recycling, or yard waste items during the Christmas & New Year's holidays. This year both holidays fall on Sunday, allowing our collection crew members to enjoy the day with their families, without a shift in the collection schedule. While the Solid Waste & Recycling Division's administrative office will be closed, the garbage, recycling and yard waste collection will remain on schedule Friday, December 23rd, Monday December 26th, and Monday, January 2nd.
