Richard "Rich" John Shanahan, 74, of Springville, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 4, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 5, at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Springville. Inurnment will follow at Mount Clark Cemetery in Central City, Iowa, with full military honors. All guests are respectfully requested to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
