Burglars take only beer from Cedar Rapids convenience store
Burglars took only beer when they broke into a Cedar Rapids convenience store early Thursday morning.
Police were called to Hawkeye Downs Sinclair, 4713 Sixth St. SW, when a private snow plow driver reported a broken window at the business. Officers arrived to find the window damage and an open door.
The only thing missing from the business was a six-pack of Budweiser valued at $7, police said. Investigators determined the theft took place between 3:15 and 4:30 a.m.
No arrests have been made. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at (319) 286-5491.
