Mercy Iowa City to host free program on colorectal cancer April 13

Mercy Iowa City will sponsor a free community seminar titled, "Colorectal Cancer: Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment," on Saturday, April 13, from 9 to 10:15 a.m., in the McAuley rooms, Mercy Medical Plaza, 540 E. Jefferson Street, Iowa City.
Presenters include Vivek Mittal, MD, gastroenterologist, and Nathan Schneider, MD, FACS, general surgeon.
Topics will include:
• What lifestyle factors may contribute to colorectal cancer?
• How is colorectal cancer detected and diagnosed?
• How is this cancer treated?
Doors will open for a complimentary breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Drawings will be held for door prizes, and free parking will be available.
