Marion man hospitalized after SUV rolls

Kevin Sadler, 19, of Marion, is hospitalized after losing control of a sport-utility vehicle early Monday.

Schmickle was driving south on East Otter Road when he lost control near the St. Peters Road intersection about four miles southwest of Alburnett, according to Linn County Sheriff's Sgt. Joel Peshek. The SUV left the road and rolled several times in the ditch before coming to rest and catching fire.

Emergency responders arrived to find Sadler laying in the ditch. It wasn't immediately apparent whether he'd been wearing his seat belt, according to Peshek.

Sadler was taken to St. Luke's Hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. He remains a patient in the intensive care unit. Information on his condition isn't available.
