With the school year coming to a close, yearbook staffs are getting ready to see months of work culminate in that tangible collection of high school memories -- the yearbook.
Or will they?
This article by The Dallas Morning News explores the purpose of yearbooks in the digital age. And though the article was written nearly a year ago, it's still valid.
Think about it. Social networking sites like facebook like are essentially online yearbooks. Will students still shell out $50, $60 or more dollars for a yearbook when they can just as easily download pictures from Prom, football games and class trips online?
