Stop calling evolution a theory

I had to respond to Henry Siewert's response (Sept. 12) to a Sept. 7 letter calling evolution a lie.
As a former evolutionist, I am aware of the arguments that Siewert uses to uphold the myth of evolution and I have to say that, for starters, we need to stop calling it a theory.
For one, there is zero evidence of transitional species and there is no logical materialistic explanation for the abrupt and spontaneous appearance of species in the fossil record.
Two, there is a selective study of Darwin's work that ignores his doubt about his theory later in life. Three, there are obvious problems in regard to evolution being in complete opposition to the Third Law of Thermodynamics, which states that all things are moving toward entropy.
As a Bible-believing Christian, I have studied the Scriptures: 66 books written by 40 men over a period of thousands of years who all recorded a perfectly cohesive, common message of God's redemption plan for mankind. The Bible has never been debunked, though many have tried. The fact that it took thousands of years for man to develop the desktop computer is not so much the wonder in this case; the fact that it took man to design the computer from the raw materials is the amazing thing. And isn't a simple bacterium far more complex than any computer?
Siewert wants us to believe that Nothing + No One = Everything. That takes enormous faith.
