Mercy offers skin cancer seminar, screening May 7

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer and accounts for nearly half of all cancers in the U.S. May is Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month.
Join Dermatologist Leslie Kramer, D.O., for an educational seminar and screening to learn about common skin cancers, risk factors, diagnosis and treatment, as well as simple guidelines to reduce the risk of sunburn and the chance of developing skin cancer.
Dr. Kramer will be offering free skin cancer screenings prior to and after the seminar; by appointment only.
The event is Tues., May 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Mercy's Hall-Perrine Cancer Center, 701 10th St. SE, Cedar Rapids. Registration is required for both the seminar and skin screening by calling (319) 365-4673.
