Haworth, Cari Lynn
Cari Lynn Haworth died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 50 years. Celebration of Life services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg. Pastor Carl Cloeter will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be one hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Cari Lynn Haworth was born Nov. 3, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Allen V. and Betty L. (Swenson) Haworth. Cari graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1981. She was married a short time to Terry Van Dee.
Cari was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was a hardworking woman and enjoyed working around her home, doing macramé and crafts, working with her car, being with friends, and camping. She was also a licensed locksmith.
She is survived by a daughter, Brittany Haworth of Cedar Rapids; a granddaughter Anathasia Lynn Haworth of Cedar Rapids; her parents, Allen and Betty of Williamsburg; a brother, Brad (Marsha) Haworth of Williamsburg; a niece, Abby Haworth, and stepnieces, Nicole and Bobbi Allar, of Williamsburg.
Cari was preceded in death by her grandparents and an uncle, Bob Swenson.
A general memorial fund has been established.
