Useful advice for every citizen of Iowa

OK, I'm back in my hotel room on the Iowa side of the Quad Cities as I await Sunday's final day of the John Deere Classic.

I support Iowa businesses whenever possible. You young people out there should do the same. So should the rest of you, for that matter.

Unless the businesses produce meth. In that case, find a better Iowa business to support. Like the good Iowa businesses that sponsor The Hlog.

I'll be getting my next car at Select Auto in Cedar Rapids or Carousel Motors in Iowa City. I may get a car at each. You should consider doing the same.

They have a sharp Toyota Prius on sale for $15,995 at Select Auto. You'll save that much in gas alone if oil prices skyrocket the way they surely will.

Oh, how I wish I had a hybrid car  in these trying economic times. I got myself a hybrid golf club, and I really like that.
