Sherrie Ann Bogs, 66, lifetime resident of Iowa City, died Thursday, April 10, 2014, at her home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, at Gay & Ciha Funeral Service in Iowa City, with burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations can be made in her memory to the Rapture Center.

Sherrie (affectionately known as Sis by her family) was born Jan. 20, 1948, in Iowa City, the daughter of Albert P. and Lorraine (Westfall) Bogs. She attended Iowa City Schools, graduating from City High School in 1966. For over 47 years she had worked for University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics as a CNA, retiring in May 2012.
Sherrie enjoyed the outdoors, the wildlife and her gardens. But those close to her remember the care she provided for her parents and other family throughout the years.
Her family includes her two brothers, Tim and his wife, Mary Bogs, of Indianola and Mike Bogs of Iowa City; seven nieces and nephews, Amy, Kathy, Scott, Paul, Tina, Katie and Alisha; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Terry and Steve; and her faithful dogs, Homer and Bucky.
