Preserve Ellis Park chipping range

Here we go again. The City Council in Cedar Rapids wants to cannibalize our Ellis Park area. They are asking for bids to develop the old chipping range off Zika. They talk about this area as if it isn't a part of the park, but it is. Most people promote the new green idea. Keeping that in mind, how is building town houses and apartment buildings in our park a part of keeping Cedar Rapids green?
Iowa is ranked 33rd in our nation for having parks. Really. We cannot agree to the idea of destroying one of the oldest most beautiful parks in town. Help Cedar Rapids. Save our park!
