Reuter, Honorine
Honorine Reuter, 82, of Cedar Rapids, died at Mercy Hallmar Saturday July 20, 2013, following a brief illness. Private family services will be held at a later date. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; brothers, John (Jan) Husmann of Council Bluffs and Edward (Benita) Husmann of Davis, Calif.; and a sister, Betty Karteus of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Ernest, Paul, Floyd, Herbert, Arlene Jennerjohn Weger and Lillian Teske; and several nieces and nephews.
Honorine Betty Jean was born Sept. 23, 1930, in Coggon, the daughter of Bill and Bertha Yossi Husmann. She graduated from Monticello High School and received her B.A. degree from UNI. She married Robert Reuter on July 8, 1956, at First Lutheran Church in Manchester. She taught in Cedar Falls and later moved to Cedar Rapids, where she and Robert became members of First Lutheran Church.
She will be remembered for her love of flowers, paintings, family and teaching.
