McCaffery, Cecily Cocker
Cecily Cocker McCaffery passed away in her home, surrounded by her daughters, on Oct. 18, 2008, at the age of 92. A memorial service will be held in her honor at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2011.
She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on March 15, 1916, to Alice and Harry Cocker. Cecily was married to Robert E. McCaffery and had four daughters, Gayle, Kay, Nancy and Sue.
She is survived by three daughters, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Cecily was a devoted Coast Guard wife and a loving mother.
We miss her, and we will never forget her.
