Child hit by car outside Johnson Elementary

An unidentified child was hit by a car at 3:45 p.m. Friday, November 20, just outside of Johnson Elementary School at 355 18th St. SE.
Police could not say the age of the child, but said that he or she was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries.
Police said that they are still investigating the incident but that no arrests have been made.
