Maehl, John C.
John C. Maehl, 88, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at the Elkader Care Center.
Survivors include his wife, Jean of Elkader; sons, John F. (Nancy) Maehl of Cedar Rapids and Eric R. (Cheri) Maehl of Fort Dodge; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family requests no flowers.
Memorials may be made to Elkader Library Friends or Palmer Hospice, West Union.
Leonard Funeral Home of Elkader is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkader, with Pastor Jim Klosterboer officiating. Inurnment: East Side Cemetery, Elkader. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and after 10 a.m. Sunday at the church.
