The day after Independence Day, someone told me, with a sigh, "Well, there's our last holiday off until September."
True, there isn't another "Hey, we get the day off from work!" holiday for awhile, but that doesn't mean we can't celebrate. It's July! Do you know how many food holidays there are this month?
A lot!
First, there's the fact that July is National Ice Cream Month. Whoo hoo!
It's also National Baked Bean Month (that makes sense when you consider how many people BBQ this time of year); National Bison Month (do buffalo wings count?); National Culinary Arts Month; National Grilling Month; National Hot Dog Month (my son will be thrilled!); and National July Belongs to Blueberries Month.
Then, when you break July down further, we have multiple daily food celebrations.
- July 1: Creative Ice Cream Flavor Day and National Gingersnap Day
- July 2: National Anisette Day
- July 3: National Chocolate Wafer Day
- July 3: Eat Beans Day
- July 4: National Barbecued Spareribs Day
