Teen dies in Waterloo shooting

A 17-year-old died after a shooting in Waterloo, police said.
The Waterloo Police Department said Martavious Taveros Johnson of Waterloo was injured in the shooting in the 500 block of Sumner Street. A private vehicle took him to the hospital, where he later died.
Police said the shooting happened around 8 p.m. Thursday. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
An investigation was continuing.
