We import enough foods

We had a farrow-to-finish hog operation of 500 to 1,000 head. Our farm smelled because we piled manure outside year-round and hauled when we could on top of the ground.
One of Linn County's largest confinement hog operations is 1 mile east of us. Seldom do we smell anything because manure is kept in a pit, pumped through hoses and injected into the ground.
People should be thankful there are families willing to invest their time and money to raise quality meat for us, while following rules and regulations.
We import enough foods, etc., from other countries. Don't add pork.
About water quality, cattle and horses in creeks do more to contaminate water.
