Keep inappropriate language out of public

I hope many people read Amy Hanisch's brave, well-written guest column about the increasing use of inappropriate language in public (“Lack of civility sadly becoming the norm,” July 5).
Our children are going to speak only as well as the models they hear. This is not a question of freedom of speech, but rather conducting ourselves with some dignity.
