Former Rider Bordson signs with NHL's Ducks

Former Cedar Rapids RoughRiders forward Rob Bordson has signed a free-agent contract with the NHL's Anaheim Ducks.
Bordson played three seasons for the University of Minnesota-Duluth, scoring 12 goals and 40 points in 40 games this season. He played the 2006-07 season with Cedar Rapids, scoring six goals and 35 points in 47 games.
The word also is former RoughRider Ray Kaunisto is close to signing with an NHL team, quite possibly the Philadelphia Flyers. Kaunisto just completed a four-year college career at Northern Michigan, scoring 17 goals this season. He played in Cedar Rapids in the 2005-06 season.
Last week, former RoughRiders
Minnesota Wild) and
Montreal Canadiens) also signed contracts with NHL teams as free agents.
