ARCA extends key partnerships

NEWTON - The Automobile Racing Club of America Series announced Saturday that it has announced extensions to three important relationships before the ARCA Prairie Meadows 200 at Iowa Speedway.
The ARCA Series will continue working with SPEED television network, Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. and Racing Electronics.
"We're always trying to establish things and renew agreements and get ourselves the support that we need to go forward," ARCA President Ron Drager said in a press conference before the series race Saturday.
SPEED is in its 16th season television ARCA races with the Prairie Meadows 200 being the 184th televised race. The two organizations have agreed to air at least 10 races in 2012.
"ARCA has a very supportive group of race fans, and for nearly 15 years they have turned to SPEED for their television coverage," SPEED President Hunter Nickell said in a press release. "We now look forward to continuing in that role through 2012."
Hoosier has partnered with the ARCA Series since 1995 and will continue to do so through 2013. The tire company's flexibility to work with ARCA and the various surfaces and tracks they run was a big factor.
"Hoosier does a great adapting to the schedule we throw at them," Drager said. "We're proud that they are going to be on board with us."
Racing Electronics will continue to provide two-way communication devices for many race personnel. They have also created a caution light system for race cars, alerting drivers of cautions during the race.
"You can't imagine how many people are sitting out in safety and track restoration vehicles, race officials around the speedway and the communication that needs to take place," Drager said. "Racing Electronics provides us with the opportunity to have that equipment working."
