Financing plan for protection is not reasonable spending

CREST (Cedar Rapids Extended Sales Tax group) has dumped the local-option sales tax extension in the laps of the voters again. The Army Corps of Engineers has no east/west flood control plan it can recommend for Cedar Rapids. To finance a plan for both sides of the river is not reasonable spending.
Cedar Rapids is seeking a slogan for use on signs along I-380. My suggested slogan, reminiscent of the Burma -Shave signs of yesterday:
Our Local Sales Tax
Leaves you no option
And traffic cameras
Also say “Gottcha!”
