Street department, take responsibility

The morning after the big snow, I called my snow removal service. It came and plowed me out. There was snow everywhere. Shortly after it left, here came the city snowplow. The plow dumped a load of snow from two blocks around the corner into my wide-open, two-lane driveway. I could not believe it.
I called the street department and asked for help. I was told we don't do that. Well, it had done that.
A few years ago, we had a bad ice storm and were left with large chunks of ice and snow and they had to be hauled away, so I called the street department. Soon, a small truck with a blade came and took care of things. He was understanding and helpful. He surely had been taught the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
I find the average people on the streets of Iowa are polite and helpful. How is it that this time there are various departments that aren't helpful when we need them? They get paid. Please wake up to our needs, street department.
Needless to say, there was so much snow the second time the service had to come, we paid them again.
