Woman arrested for prostitution after offering services to undercover officer

Mary L. Robinson, 33, was arrested early Wednesday after she offered an undercover officer sex for cash, police said.

Robinson flagged down the officer about 12:30 a.m. in the alley between the 1400 blocks of Second and Third avenues SE, according to Police Sgt. Cristy Hamblin. The officer drove around the block and pulled up to Robinson, who got into the car and “propositioned him for a sex act in exchange for money,” according to the police report.

The officer arrested Robinson, of 2100 Westdale Dr. SW. She was released from jail after an initial court appearance Wednesday morning on a charge of prostitution.

Wednesday's arrest happened about two blocks from where Robinson was arrested for prostitution June 7, 2005. She pleaded guilty in that case and was fined $500.
