Weather forces helicopter to land on Interstate 80 near West Branch

UPDATE: An Air-Care helicopter had to make a landing in Cedar County on Interstate 80 this morning because of bad weather.
The helicopter landed near West Branch shortly before 4:30 a.m, but the Cedar County Sheriff's office says the landing did not affect traffic on the interstate.
Cedar County Sheriff Warren Wethington said a patient was being transported by helicopter to University Hospitals, but due to high winds, it was determined unsafe to continue in the air. He said the helicopter landed safely and the patient – who he didn't know details about – was taken to the hospital by ground ambulance.
