Man arrested for hacking e-mail account, sending explicit photos

WESTGATE – Police arrested a Westgate man Tuesday on charges that he illegally accessed a University of Iowa e-mail account and used it to send explicit photos.
Jonathan R. Steinbronn, 28, is charged with third-degree harassment, theft by unauthorized computer access and unauthorized computer access, according to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
University of Iowa police contacted the sheriff's office on June 15 that Steinbronn had accessed a student's e-mail account. He allegedly used it to send explicit photos to the student's parents.
Sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant at Steinbronn's residence near Westgate, and computer evidence was recovered, authorities said.
Steinbronn was transported to the Fayette County Jail, where he was held until his initial court appearance
