The TCF Bank Stadium experiment keeps getting more interesting.
The Minnesota Vikings have upgraded quarterback Brett Favre from out to questionable for tonight's game against the Bears.
Favre, whose 297-game consecutive starts streak ended last week against the New York Giants, will test his injured shoulder and hand two to three hours before the game. At that point, the Vikings will make a determination.
Rookie Joe Webb entered the weekend as the expected starter.
"Brett Favre attempted to throw the football two days ago and was unable to due to pain in his SC (sternoclavicular) joint, and residual numbness from Brazhial Plexus injury," Vikings trainer Eric Sugarman said in a statement. "He declared himself out at that time. He woke up this morning feeling much improved. His symptoms and function have improved dramatically over the last 24 hours. In fairness to him and his team, he would like to be given the opportunity to play tonight if physically able."
Favre has felt numbness in his right throwing hand in recent weeks and has said he wouldn't play the rest of the season unless the numbness subsided.
