Big business controlling country's financial situation

It is quite clear who is controlling the financial situation of our country, not the politicians, but big business. Our financial difficulties started back in 2000. And that happened to be the same time that corporate taxes got slashed. And who has benefited since then? Not the common citizen. Big business is doing fine right now. The money they save in taxes they are able to invest in their business worldwide, not in the USA. And how did they achieve this power?
Look at where the political winners get their money from. Big business. That is how they got elected. Money from corporations. So they have to pay back the favor. The next time you vote look past party lines and do some research and see where the politician is getting his or her money.
