Beauregard, Kenneth

Kenneth Beauregard, 79, of Monticello, formerly of Central City, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation services provided by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City.

Survivors include his children, Robert (Vanessa) Beauregard of Cedar Rapids, Mark (Dedra) Beauregard of Central City, Diane (Kevin) Kurth of Monticello and David (Kellie) Beauregard of Glenburn, N.D.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Beauregard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; son, Russell Beauregard; and siblings, Leonard, Wayne and Darrel.

Kenneth was born March 13, 1934, in Marion, son of Alden and Faye (Long) Beauregard. He married Betty Ann Phillips on March 15, 1952, in Central City. She passed away Aug. 19, 2011. Kenneth worked for 38 years at Longview Fiber Co. and also over 45 years worked as a custodian at City State Bank.

Service is 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15, John and Dorothy Sill Barn, Camp Courageous of Iowa, Monticello
