Barrett, Sandra 'Sandy' Sue

Sandra ‘Sandy” Sue Barrett, 67, of Iowa City, died peacefully Friday, April 8, 2011, at Mercy Hospice. Memorial services to celebrate Sandy's life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery.

Sandy is survived by her three children, Gene (Debi) Barrett of Phoenix, Barbara (Steve) Eldridge of Coralville and Janet Nierling of Iowa City; 10 grandchildren, Bo Ryan, Christopher, Amber, Brandon, Cassandra, Aaron, Brendan, Alexandra, Aaron and Paige; three great-grandchildren; her siblings, Rosemary (James) Yardley of Iowa City, Floyd (Sheryl) Six of Guthrie Center and Don and John Six, both of Van Couver, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Richard; and siblings, David Six and Carol Wright.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice or Mercy Hospital Foundation for Mercy Hospice Center.
