Leonard Fullmer Jr., 92, of Aliso Viejo, Calif., formerly of Victor, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, in Mission Viejo, Calif.
Leonard Fullmer Jr. was born March 12, 1923, in Victor, Iowa, to Velma and Leonard Fullmer Sr. He entered the U.S. Army on Dec. 11, 1942, and was honorably discharged as a first sergeant on Dec. 19, 1945. He was a designated M1 rifle sharpshooter and a diesel motor mechanic, serving in Bismarck Archipelago, New Guinea, Philippine Islands and Luzon.
In 1946, he founded his company, Fullmer Construction. He married Margaret Ellen Brizendine on Oct. 26, 1947. He was a well-respected general contractor in Arcadia, Calif., operating his company until 1986, when he semi-retired and moved to Litchfield Park, Ariz. He last lived in Aliso Viejo, Calif., with his wife, Peggy.
Len was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; his sons, James, Robert and Gary; as well as their children, Scott, Kendra, Brooke, Paige and Ashley; and a great-grandchild, Cash.
