I'm supporting Liz Mathis in her bid for re-election to the Iowa Senate, District 34.
As a teacher, I feel strongly that our economy is centered in how we treat our children. With her background in the area of child welfare, she can see the big picture. She knows that by looking out for the well-being of our toddlers, providing them with quality day care and academic opportunities as they grow, supporting them in healthy forms of self-expression, and giving them access to higher education and quality job training we ensure future economic growth for the whole community.
It's important to recognize how all of this works together. We need someone in the Senate with her vision and charisma. She works with people, she is willing to ask the hard questions and then works to find a solution.
