Columnist owes Clintons an apology
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Aug. 24, 2013 11:33 am
I couldn't help but feel bad for Jonah Goldberg's big article (Aug. 12) about Hilary and William Clinton. I can attest by firsthand account that Bill Clinton (president at the time) and first lady Hilary did prove to be an excellent president and first lady.
Goldberg must have gotten his political education no higher than second grade of school back when Hilary was doing her campaigning across the fine state of Iowa. (I personally shook hands with her at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown after presenting her with a blue and silver Christmas ornament, an veterans home pen and pencil set and a cold or hot plastic covered veterans home mug); surprisingly, from her I receive one big hug and a peck on my right cheek.
Goldberg should at least write the Clintons an apology.
