JANET KAY MURRAY SWENKA BRANT

Janet Kay Murray Swenka Brant, 82, finished her journey here on earth May 16, 2021. She gracefully passed away surrounded by her loving family at Stoney Brook Assisted Living Center in West Union, Iowa. Janet was born Jan. 23, 1939. to Doris Anna Jenks Murray and Edwin Leland Murray at home in Manilla, Iowa.
On Aug. 3, 1978, Janet married Milon (Mike) Emil Brant in Oelwein.
Janet's legacy of faith, humor, and hard work lives on in her surviving three children, Roberta (Lloyd) Carnicle from Fayette, Iowa, Rebecca (Tim) Ott from Orem, Utah, and Duane (Kim) Swenka from Waterloo, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike.
Funeral services will be held at the Fayette Community Church in Fayette at a later date. Janet will be cremated and her remains buried in the Nishnabotna Cemetery outside of Manilla, Iowa, at a later date.
