'Big Bags' could fight future floods
Cedar Rapids may be recruiting the help of "big bags" to fight future flood water.
On Thursday, the Cedar Rapids public works department watched a Big Bags USA demonstration.
Big Bags representatives say these over-sized sand bags fill quicker and are easier to put into place.
They also say the product keeps costs low because the bags and sand are most often reusable.
