Park, Betty Jean
Betty Jean Park, of El Paso, Texas, formerly of Iowa City, passed away Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011.
Betty was born Sept. 3, 1929, to Marie and Albert Vevera in Iowa City,she attended University of Iowa and graduated as a nurse.Betty was a fiery Bohemian, proud of her Czech heritage.
In nursing for 35 years, she drove a semi and was a realtor.
She is survived by her six sons, Dan, Dave, Don and Doug Herdliska, Dean and Dustin Park; and one sister, Cora Hatcher.
She had eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Bob Vevera.
