JONATHAN "JON" FAWCETT

Jonathan "Jon" Fawcett, 64, of Center Point, Iowa, died Sunday, May 16, 2021, at his residence.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at Murdoch Funeral Home, Center Point. Inurnment will follow at Center Point Cemetery. All guests are respectfully requested to wear a mask and practice social distancing. The family requests casual dress; wear your Cubs or Packers gear in Jon's honor.
Jon was born July 15, 1956, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to Dorothy J. (Gates) and Alden P. Fawcett. He was united in marriage to Melody L. Wilkins on July 13, 1994. Jon worked as an automotive painter for most of his career.
Jon enjoyed the simple pleasures in life: trying his luck at mushroom hunting, listening to music, lighting fireworks, camping and fishing were among his favorite pastimes. He will be missed by those who loved him.
Jon is survived by his wife, Melody; daughter, Monica Fawcett (Mike Hildenbrand); step-daughter, Carrie Chollar (Chris Cook); four grandchildren, Jonathan, Nicholas, Nathan and Joslyn; brothers, Michael (Barb) Fawcett and Tony (Debi) Fawcett; many nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Jason Fawcett; as well as special friends, Kevin Johnston and Bob and Wendy Havlik.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Carle Palmer; and his grandparents.
