Rita Mae Pisarik, 99, of Marion, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, May
18, 2021, at Village Ridge at Marion. Funeral Mass:
10 a.m. Friday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by Father Aaron Junge and Father Ivan Nienhaus. Burial: Saint John's Cemetery. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service

Rita is survived by her sister-in-law, Regina Pisarik, Cedar Rapids; and also several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose (Trzil) Pisarik; sisters, Helen Polansky, Theresa McIvor and Mary who died in infancy; and brothers, Paul and Charles Pisarik.
Rita was born May 22, 1921, in Cedar Rapids, where she lived her entire life until she moved to Village Ridge at Marion. She was a 1939 graduate of St. Wenceslaus High School. Rita was employed as a stenographer at the Witwer Grocery Company from 1940-1946. She worked at Penick and Ford from 1946 to 1977, first as a stenographer and later as a private secretary. Rita was then employed as a secretary at Mercy Hospital for six years until her retirement in December, 1983.
Rita was a lifelong member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, where she played the organ for many years. She loved music, especially classical, flower gardening and traveling. She was also a wonderful cook and baker.
Rita's family would especially like to thank Avalon Hospice for the loving care they gave Rita over the past several months.
Memorials may be given to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and Camp Courageous.
