Republicans are not problem solvers

In the June 25 edition there was a story of how the Republican House was blocking action on a $35 billion to $44 billion measure to reduce waiting times for veterans because they insist on paying for it first ('Veterans' bill stumbling block is how to pay for it”).
These people are members of the same Republican Party which had no problem sending our troops into Iraq while putting a trillion dollars on our national credit card and creating the very veterans they now want to shortchange.
How long will voters continue to buy their rhetoric and ignore the actions of Republicans? Or should I say inaction, because no is their answer to every effort to solve our nation's problems.
Now, I like the 'good old days” as much as anyone, but I wasn't really thinking about the Guilded Age. If voters continue to elect today's Republicans thinking they can solve our problems, then we deserve what we get, but our grandchildren sure don't.
