No need to get upset over pipeline

To the editor:
Regarding Mildred Noble's letter 'Write IUB to oppose Bakken pipeline,” published Nov. 16: I feel sorry that you are upset about our much-needed pipeline.
You state that the pipeline is for a private company's profit. That is true, but it is very possible that the gas they make with that oil ends up in your gas tank.
They are going to make a scratch across our state, put a pipeline in it, cover it up and then farm over it. That is what they did 75 years ago across the corner of my dad's farm. It hasn't leaked yet.
Relax, it will work out fine. Just think how many nice jobs it will create for us for a while.
