Demand creates jobs, not the rich
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jan. 14, 2014 1:56 pm
The rich do not create jobs. They fill the opening after demand for products creates an opening for jobs. To create demand, consumers need money to buy products. Some ways to provide that would be to raise the minimum wage, keep paying unemployment benefits and the government spending on roads and infrastructure.
The Republican mantra says the tax cuts for the rich will create jobs. Without demand for products, they invest their money overseas and keep it. How many billions is enough?
