Bronemann, Velma
Velma Bronemann, 91, of Monticello, died Tuesday evening, Jan. 5, 2010, at the Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 Saturday morning, Jan. 9, at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church, rural Monticello, with interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call after 9:00 Saturday at the church. The Rev. Johnathan Kosec will officiate at the services. Goettsch Funeral Home is caring for Velma and her family.
Surviving are three children, Sandra (Bill) Edwards, the Rev. Ronald (Char) Bronemann and Jerry Bronemann; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald (Helen) Tobiason.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roland; a grandson, Bryan; a brother, Lyle Tobiason; and a sister, Lois Porter.
Velma was an elementary education teacher in the Anamosa, Monticello and Midland community schools.
