Hopkins, Joshua D.
Joshua D. Hopkins, 38, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, Marion. Pastor John Albertson will officiate. A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Survivors include his mother, Nancy C. Hopkins of Cedar Rapids; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joel T. Hopkins; and his grandparents, Leland and Carol Feldt and Owen and Joyce Hopkins.
Joshua was born June 10, 1974, in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Joel and Nancy Hopkins. Joshua was baptized Aug. 4, 1974, at First Lutheran Church in Northwood, Iowa, and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Marion on May 21, 1989. He graduated from Kennedy High School in 1993 and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and archery. He also enjoyed spending time with family, friends and their children.
