Johnson County voters have rejected, for a third time, a bond measure to fund expansion of their historic courthouse. Cases have been backlogged for years, witnesses and defendants mingle in corridors and the historic design was not constructed to accommodate people with disabilities. What should the county do now to solve the very real issues of safety and accessibility?
