Reject Branstad 'creative accounting'

So, the governor for life, Terry Branstad, wants be to governor again.
The first question that comes to mind is: Why does he want to be governor again? Does he miss the chef at Turkey Hill?
I lived in Iowa the entire 16 years that Branstad was governor, and he was the biggest do-nothing we have ever had in that office. I can't remember even one significant thing he did during those 16 years!
Additionally, after he left office, he admitted that he kept two sets of accounting books for the state - one that showed the state's budget was balanced and one that showed what the actual budget looked like.
Since there is a law in this state that says that the state's budget must be balanced, he deliberately violated that law. (Why wasn't he prosecuted?) At the very least, his creative accounting indicates to me that he is basically a dishonest person.
Chet Culver has initiated many programs to move this state forward. Some of them have worked out well, others less so, but they were all honest efforts with admirable goals.
I can't vote for a crook, so I will be voting for Chet Culver and encourage you to do the same.
